Stephen Wilcox Opticians/Optometrists was established in 1983 and our Georgian style bow fronted shop (originally built by Stephen's father, Les) has become well recognised as a local landmark, but don't be misled it belies the technological and style changes that have taken place behind its doors over those 35 years and more.
We are proud to say that amongst our achievements we were the first in Merseyside to implement the professional training and technology for wide field retinal scanning ; visual diagnosis and treatment in dyslexia with coloured lenses ; orthokeratology (overnight eyesight correction); and our retail and clinical "Eyeplan" scheme.
We have become known as the go-to experts for eye related issues particularly for our work in dyslexia and over the years we have treated hundreds of children and adults receiving referrals from schools, universities and other opticians (including Specsavers) .
